The Corporate Solutions Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will test Client’s SAP Financial systems which include one or more of these areas: accounts payable, accounts receivable, materials management, general ledger, and asset accounting. The QA Analyst is responsible for adhering to standardized QA policies, processes and documentation standards, participating in all aspects of project testing, overseeing IS QA test environments, providing technical guidance, and ensuring schedule adherence for assigned projects.
Tasks and responsibilities
•Participates in requirements & use case reviews.
•Creates and/or oversees the creation and approval of project test cases, scripts and conditions.
•Executes test cases and adheres to test plan and schedules.
•Participates in the defect triage process.
•Oversees or generates all QA-related documentation.
•Ensures adherence to standardized QA policies, processes and documentation standards.
•Familiar with source code, version management, and code deployment standards and utilizes this knowledge to ensure that QA processes and procedures for test environments are followed and that the integrity of the various environments are not compromised.
Required skills, abilities, and certifications
•Minimum 5 years of software quality assurance experience.
•Minimum 4 years of experience testing in SAP FICO (GL, AA, AR, AP testing).
•Must be able to differentiate and articulate differences between holistic system testing vs. process-based testing based on configuration parameters, user exits, integrations, and data migration.
•Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience using industry standard software QA tools, preferably HP-ALM.
•Strong knowledge of a SDLC and SQA methodology as well as experience testing on an Agile or DevOps teams.
•Strong database skills.
•Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills.
•Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from senior management to staff level.
•Strong work ethic, positive attitude & excellent collaboration skills.
Recommended skills, abilities, and certifications
•General understanding of retail industry and accounting processes.
•General understanding and knowledge of SAP FICO
•Experience in testing iSeries financial applications.
•Experience with database in Oracle or DB2 and the ability to write basic SQL queries.
•Hands on experience in testing or configuration of SAP FICO
•Knowledgeable in integration points between various SAP modules.
•Experience working with and/or leading offshore testing teams.
