Position Details: Interactive Designer - 00642
The Manager really wants to see Photoshop skills and AEM or comparable software.
The purpose of this position is to support the digital creative manager with conceptualization and design execution of online ecommerce initiatives and email campaigns within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), for the Columbia Sportswear and SOREL brands. Working closely with fellow designers, copywriters, and the ecommerce team, this position will translate and execute the brand message to the company’s web sites and other interactive initiatives. This position will be responsible for the creation of graphics, layouts, and the builds within the AEM interface.
•Design ecommerce site content, emails, promotional banners, etc. within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
•Identify and solve design challenges including developing and iterating on attractive designs, graphic elements, and core assets
•Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
•Work closely with the ecommerce design team, as well as the ecommerce development team, photography studio, merchandising team, marketing teams, and production team.
•Work with copywriters in creating on brand and engaging messaging. Partner closely with other creative groups in the company, such as photography, graphics, and apparel design, to ensure a consistent message and look and feel in all digital consumer material
•Deliver work on schedule, as agreed upon with the production team.
•Drive site enhancements and ideas, based on industry best practices and emerging trends
•Convert/Rebuild current website landing pages into new AEM platform
•Bachelor’s Degree in Design is preferred but not required
•3-4 Years’ experience working in an Interactive Design role
•Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
•Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (open to candidates with experience in another content management system but AEM is strongly preferred)
•Experience using UX design best practices to design solutions and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
•Understanding of motion graphics and videos
