Phase 1: Discovery & Team Assembly (Weeks 1–2)
Centizen assembled a dedicated agile squad: mobile developers (React Native), UI/UX designers, DevOps engineers, and QA specialists. The team conducted stakeholder workshops and compliance assessments to finalize the app’s architecture and patient journey mapping.
Phase 2: Platform Design & Prototyping (Month 1)
A responsive UI/UX was designed for both iOS and Android platforms using Figma and Material Design standards. The design accounted for accessibility, user personalization, and support for multilingual patients.
Phase 3: Development & Integration (Month 2–3)
- Developed the app using React Native for rapid cross-platform rollout.
- Integrated with FHIR-based APIs to pull patient data from EHRs (e.g., Epic).
- Implemented secure messaging between doctors and patients.
- Enabled features for appointment scheduling, medication tracking, lab report access, and treatment history.
- Backend powered by AWS Lambda, S3, and RDS with encryption at rest and in transit.
Phase 4: Testing & Compliance Validation (Month 4)
Centizen’s QA team ran manual and automated testing (Appium for mobile, Postman for APIs) and executed regression, performance, and security tests. Compliance checks for HIPAA, GxP, and SOC2 were conducted with supporting documentation for audits.
Phase 5: Deployment & Handover (Month 5)
- CI/CD pipelines using GitLab ensured smooth deployment to the App Store and Google Play.
- Knowledge transfer and operational training provided to internal IT and support teams.
- Support offered post-launch to monitor app usage and resolve patient feedback loops.
